With the Sharks now sitting on top of the NRL ladder after their victory over Manly in round 11, it should come as no surprise that media interest has ramped up during the past week.

The Sharks led early and were then forced to reassert their authority late in contest when the Sea Eagles leveled the score at 12-all during the second half of the match.

The media reports following the Sharks 20-12 win highlighted the fact that for the first time since the 2000 season the Cronulla club was on top of the premiership table. See the Sharks Website

About Cronulla With a beach vibe and an outdoor lifestyle, Cronulla is a laid back area with plenty of things to do. There’s
fishing off the coast, hiking one of the area’s picturesque trails, whale watching or just lazing on one of the uncrowded beaches.Cronulla
boasts one of the longest stretches of beach in Sydney, with miles of golden sand and lively surf. The outdoor cafe scene offers a great
vantage point where you may be able to spot dolphins popping up in the adjoining waters.Just south of Cronulla lies the peaceful village of Bundeena, accessible via a ferry ride across Port Hacking River. The ferry will allow you to explore one of Sydney’s unspoiled waterways on a three hour cruise where you can learn about early explorers of the district, local Aboriginal sites and culture, historical settlements and deer farming in the nearby reserve.Nearby to the beach are Royal National Park and Heathcote National Park - two of Sydney’s best wilderness areas for bushwalking, having a picnic, fishing and camping.
